One Whale

I have committed help and support to the Beluga Whale currently in the Norwegian Fjords. His name is known to many as Hvaldimir, whilst known globally for his loving personality, his story isn’t quite so cheerful. Having escaped from part of a navy training program, he is now alone in the Fjords and relying upon human interaction for his connection, a highly social creature these contacts will become ever more dangerous with the shipping traffic in the Fjords. Efforts are now required to re locate Hvaldimir to the Northern waters of Norway near Svalbard so that he may have his own chance to rebuild his life with other Beluga pods. I believe that his story being told will not only help him but also allow us as humanity to understand more about Marine Mammals, whale conservation, our relationship with the ocean and our responsibility to take care of our environment. More information on how to support the organisation OneWhale will be launched shortly. Adam Thorpe.
